Chapter 1

I find passage about the cheap labor and job's being replaced very relevant for obvious reasons; It comes up in political and economic discussions with startling frequency. I find it fascinating that this is mentioned at the end of a chain about "firms" and their methods of doing business. The connection of labor and automated jobs to firms and the use of sickles in Nepal as opposed to lawn mowers is of particular interest to me. It ties in to the theme of the chapter in the end: the market prices. As to fit with the broad theme of the chapter, market prices dictate all. The unbelievable complexity of our world economy seems daunting, but the notion that it operates on such simple terms is arugably more mind-blowing.
