Chapter 2
What I found most interesting was the fact that the limited sale of rhino horns or ivory can be help limit the amount of rhino and elephant poaching that takes place. This is fascinating to me because something that originally appeared detrimental and immoral is actually one of the better solutions to fixing the problem. If somebody had asked me prior to reading this if it would be helpful to release some of these stockpiled products into the legal marketplace I would have ignorantly said absolutely not. I would have thought to consider the possibility that it might decrease demand for the products and increase funding for the protection of the very animals being poached in the first place.
