Chapter 3, question 6

The passage of this chapter I found most intriguing was the bit about Libertarian Paternalism and the book Nudge by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein. I really enjoyed the idea of economic and behavioral inertia, as well as the assumed consent. It is so easy to get people to opt-in when it is automatic and no one cares enough to opt-out though it surprised me how successful  this strategy was for Spain's cadaverous organ donations (50% more than the U.S.'). I would love to see the results of a small scale study for the U.S. if such policies were implemented, and I really believe that helmets should always be worn when huffing glue.

  1. Always wear that helmet. Please remind me to bring up the organ donation. You also mentioned that all of the Nobel winners were the most interesting. Bring that up next class.
