Chapter 3 - quinn malone

I struggle to understand the idea of externalities (still do after reading this chapter) , but I have definitely learned a lot more than i previously did. With that said, a few points that stick out to me starts with the government playing a big role in the market concerning externalities. The author also writes about ideas regarding those ideas in the long run: such as baby seats in airplanes, cell phones, and others. He also mentions there are positive and negative externalities. He says an example of a negative externality is when people who smoke need extra health care. We the people help pay(in taxes) for those people to potentially live longer because of the poor decisions they have made.
