Chapter 8 - quinn malone

This particular chapter describes how econmics reflect government and the importance of small, private groups. Wheelan brings up a good point that successful politcians are the ones who strive and look for what is best for those small, private groups. Majority if not all small groups are out for their own self-interest. This essentially prevents public works/policies from thriving because of the potential protest of these small, private groups causing possible regulations as well. That is why small groups should not be overlooked, so I agree with majority of what Wheelan has to say about that.

  1. In what ways are the small private groups out for their own self interest, and what do the politicians do to help the groups?
