Chapter six question two

2.) Do the issues affect your life? Directly or indirectly? On a daily basis, or more in generally? Now or in the future?

I think that chapter six has been my favorite chapter so far. Chapter six talks all about human capital and productivity. Chapter six also mentions how the gap between the rich and the poor is continuing to grow due to increased human capital of the wealthy. A passage in particular that caught my attention is on page 142; Wheelan is talking about how college grads earn a greater percentage of income than high school graduates. In the 1980's people with a college degree earned 40% more than people with just a high school degree. In around 2007 college grads earned approximately 80% more annually than high school grads. Reading this made me very thankful that I am able to go to college. After reading chapter six I have learned that human capital is the key to success. I am excited for college and all of the human capital I will gain through out my experience.
