Nate ch 6
"Human capital is much more than earning more money. It makes us better parents, more informed voters, more appreciative of art and culture, more able to enjoy the fruits of life" (Wheelan 134). I've adopted this mindset that human capital only helps us become more wealthy; This passage brings the truth to light that human capital makes us more knowledgable, cultured, and just simply, better people. "Creative destruction" is something our country should strive for. As we find greater human capital, we are tearing down obsolete jobs and are creating new jobs which makes us more advanced as a nation. But this maximizing of human capital leaves those not on the same track as us in the dust: big winners and big losers.
