Question 7 Nate Angulo chapter 8

The way our government/economy works is strange to me. I can't say it's screwed up but I also can't say its where it should be. There's just so many unnecessary subsidies to protect the weak (mohair) and so many trade offs that don't make sense (ethonal) and certifications that are illogical (school teacher). It's upsetting how a presidential candidate will suport something detrimental to our environment just to better his political career. It's upsetting how the small groups are  the puppet masters. It makes we think, are we really the greatest country in the world or just the most engrossed in false sympathies?

  1. Like the free market, the government seems to be "amoral". The parallel there is interesng. One could easily make the claim that that is due to the flawed nature of man. If one did that though they would be going off topic. More or less, however, I agree with your points. The small groups being "puppet masters," however, are not always as evil as people paint them to be

  3. They are just normal people. Couldn't it be argued that people standing up for their own interest is just free speech at work

  4. Keturah and I find your view interesting. It is very annoying how polititons do things just to make themselves look better. Good last sentence! You bring up a really good question.
